Company Background
In 1982 Mr Mervyn Montgomery started trading as a sole trader using the name ‘North West Joinery’ (NWJ). In 1993 Mervyn’s wife, Kim Montgomery joined him as a partner in the business.
Initially, the company specialised in supplying high quality bespoke joinery products to the restoration sector. (This specialised experience and long track record of working with the restoration and heritage sectors has given Hampton Conservatories Ltd a thorough understanding of how to seamlessly blend their range of hardwood conservatories with heritage buildings, carefully enhancing the overall appearance of the building).
A niche in the market was identified for the supply of good quality hardwood conservatories and by the late 1980’s NWJ had completed its first commercial project, which was a two-storey conservatory for a local restaurant.
High demand for conservatories led the company to expand its business into the Republic of Ireland and throughout all regions of the UK. Hampton Conservatories Ltd has been a consistent winner of the conservatory Design Awards at the world renowned Chelsea Flower Show and the Glassex Expo, raising the profile of its hardwood conservatories in the international market. With growing national and international demand for its products, the company established its now well-known brand – Hampton Conservatories Ltd.
The five main products of Hampton Conservatories Ltd include bespoke timber conservatories and orangeries, commercial conservatories, botanical architecture / garden conservatories, pool houses and an extensive range of pre-design conservatories.
To date Hampton Conservatories Ltd have built in excess of 2000 bespoke conservatories for a large variety of clients, including private home owners, property developers, hotel groups, government departments and universities. Some of the more prestigious projects have included the Faculty Club at Harvard University - Boston, USA; the K Club – Kildare, Ireland; Kylemore Abbey- Connemara, Ireland; Greenmount College - Antrim, UK; and Lisburn City Square – Lisburn, UK, as well as high profile sites throughout continental Europe.
In 2011 Hampton Conservatories Ltd has firmly established itself as one of the leading UK hardwood conservatory and orangery manufacturers.
