The Full Conservatory Concept to Completion Process

OUR AFTER SALES PROCESS, IN BRIEF

CONTRACTS MANAGEMENT

After confirming your order with Hampton Conservatories, your project file will be passed from the Design & Sales Coordinator to our Operations Manager, who will be your main point of contact from that point forward. He will keep you informed at each stage of the manufacture and installation process, and will liaise with you regarding key dates.

FINAL SURVEY

Our company surveyor will conduct an accurate, dimensional survey of your property so that the drawings required for manufacture and installation can be compiled. They will be accompanied by your design consultant who worked with you during the initial design process. This gives everyone an opportunity to discuss the final technical and aesthetic details confirming specifications for paint finished and hardware. If you have chosen a turnkey building package our Hampton builder will also be present, discussing dates and times, the order of events and when the process will take place in detail. We can normally schedule a final survey within 2 weeks of agreeing your sale.

PLANNING APPLICATION (if Required)

Using the design proposal drawings, and where necessary creating additional elevations of the building, we will draw up and submit the Planning application ensuring minimum fuss and keeping you abreast of the progress.

FINAL WORKING DRAWINGS

Using the dimensions from our detailed survey, drawings are created which will enable the conservatory to be manufactured and installed. This will include all the necessary drawings of the base building work required.

FINAL WORKING DRAWING APPROVAL

Once complete, our surveyor will revisit and take you through these drawings step-by-step explaining exactly how it will fit and what to expect this is because we know from experience that many people find technical drawings difficult to interpret. They will help you understand the relationship between your new Orangery/conservatory and your property and will give you the assurance you need to sign off on the drawings.

PRODUCTION Order

Once the drawings are approved we will proceed to create the Production Order. This will contain parts lists, timber cutting lists, etc. which are required in addition to the drawings to enable the conservatory/orangery to be manufactured. Details for the base building work and fitting of the conservatory are also completed at this stage. A complete copy of the drawings and the base work building details will be forwarded to you.

MANUFACTURE

Now that the Production Order is available the conservatory framework and the procurement of the components can proceed. In most cases this manufacturing stage takes around 4 weeks. Construction of the base will be timed to coincide with production. The process of coordinating building works is carefully managed by your Project Manager, and will be detailed precisely regarding dates and times when the process will take place to ensure a smooth seamless collaboration between base work and installation.

BASE SURVEY

About two weeks before installation is due to commence, we will arrange for the base to be surveyed to ensure that it is dimensionally correct.

INSTALLATION

At Hampton Conservatories we only use our own fitting teams to install our buildings, they have a wealth of experience and are all fully qualified carpenters with a genuinely friendly and helpful nature. We get amazing feedback continuously from our customers as testimony to this. Once the installation commences our fitting team will stay on your project until it is complete and will walk you through everything two days before completion to ensure everything is just perfect and to your complete satisfaction.
