Awarded the Certificate of Commendation, Hamptons were applauded on the quality of the full-scale conservatory on show and the level of detailed craftsmanship employed.
‘We are delighted to bring this award back to Northern Ireland,’ states MD Mervyn Montgomery. ‘As a local manufacturer, established for 25 years, this award says much about the standard of build and design that we employ on a regular basis throughout Ireland, the UK and North America.’
The design built for these shows is just one of the many and varied designs available. From the Georgian period, it uses Gothic windows. Ornate details from various periods have been employed, such as the Strawberry Hill curved window frame on the pavilion and the Clerestory feature along the inside of the roof which demonstrates fine handmade timber tracery details.
‘We chose to build a relatively traditional conservatory at The Chelsea Flower Show and The Hampton Court Palace Flower Show this year to demonstrate how a hardwood structure of this nature would blend with many period and listed buildings,’ says MD Mervyn Montgomery.
Measuring approximately 25sq/m, this scale of conservatory demonstrates its most popular use – as a living space to accommodate a dining area or kitchen.
The stunning heritage paint shade (Grey/Green, code: TS20265) was especially mixed by paint manufacturer Teknos.
Complementing the colour of the conservatory, the organic garden emphasizes the beauty of employing natural shades and materials to make the most of your home and lifestyle.
‘Due to the increase in house prices and stamp duty, many people are seeking to improve their homes, rather than move to a larger property,’ states Montgomery. ‘One way of adding more living space and value is to add a conservatory. And, on an environmentally-friendly note, we only use mahogany from sustainable sources.’
