Our Team Of Experts At Hampton Conservatories

Our Experts

Mervyn

Managing Director & Founder

Mervyn established Hampton Conservatories, almost 40 years ago, as a manufacturer of bespoke joinery products for the restoration and heritage sectors. Since then, he has personally overseen the expansion of his company throughout the UK, Ireland and beyond, and its development into one of the leaders in its field. Mervyn is a very driven, charismatic and ‘hands-on’ leader. With a background in fine joinery and an astute appreciation for architecture and design, he is just as happy on-site with the installation teams as he is in our state-of-the-art workshop or in the board room. He takes a personal interest in each and every job, and can often be found conducting site visits, meeting clients and overseeing progress to ensure the best outcome on all our projects.

John

Head of Sales (Ireland, Scotland & Isle of Man)

John Hutchinson is an experienced and dedicated Sales Consultant, with an outstanding customer and design focus. Joining us back in 2001, John has a wealth of experience in Hampton Conservatories’ product line. He starts the process of helping you to formulate your conservatory design, by meeting with you on site and exploring the countless options available. In addition to discussing your ideas in depth and providing guidance on the best solution to any site challenges, he will also conduct a preliminary survey. The information that he gathers will be condensed into a Design Brief, passed to our Sales Coordinator at Head Office and then allocated to a member of our design team who will bring your concept to life. It’s John’s aim to ensure that the final design brings your dream conservatory to life and that, when he presents our Design Proposal, you will be delighted with our solution.

Colin

Surveyor

Colin has many years of hands-on experience in the joinery and construction industry. At Hampton Conservatories, he carries out a wide variety of duties ranging from full site surveys, to the preparation of survey drawings using CAD, and liaising with the designers who prepare Final Working Drawings. He also attends site meetings with customers, architects and builders before and during the construction phase. As well as producing Risk Assessment Method statements (RAMs) to alleviate any difficulties that may arise during the building of the project, and organising the delivery information for each specific scheme. Finally, he performs base checks prior to the conservatory fitting date, ensuring that all dimensions are correct and that everything is in place for a problem-free installation.

Mavis

Operations Co-Ordinator

Mavis is our Operations Co-Ordinator and joined us in 2018. Definitely one of the most organised people we know, Mavis ultimately ensures our operations get from A to B. Mavis works away behind the scenes, whether that be liaising with fitters to get your product installed, booking flights/accommodation or communicating with clients after the point of sale. As well as this, Mavis will also be your point of contact for any aftersales care and maintenance, organising the fitter’s schedule and liaising with clients on suitable dates. With all of these duties on board, Mavis is an extremely valuable member of our team.

Julie

Sales Co-Ordinator

As Julie is our sales co-ordinator, she would be your first point of contact when enquiring about our products, whether it be a brochure request or design brief from a Sales Consultant, Julie has it covered. Julie will then pass on your details to a member of the design team who will get in touch regarding your project.

Stephen

Architectural Designer

Stephen is our Architectural Designer at Hampton Conservatories. Stephen is an extremely creative designer and is responsible for taking your brief and turning it into a reality. Once one of our experienced design consultants visits your property, they then brief Stephen and he designs the CAD architectural drawings and watercolours. A completed design proposal will include line drawings, watercolour presentations, a detailed specification and a written quotation. This will contain all the information you need to reach a decision on your design. Anything is possible when it comes to your bespoke design.

One of his main priorities is to drive down waste in each department, along with overseeing lean improvements to ensure that we are always continuously improving in all areas of manufacturing. Most importantly, he ensures that our products continuously meet the high standards that our customers deserve.
