Striking Botanical Glasshouse on Long Island
Case Study Details
This stunning and original botanical glasshouse, with panoramic views across Long Island Sound and New York, was designed to provide an overwintering house for the owner’s prized orchid collection.
The glasshouse’s multiple opening sashes and domed roof, incorporating thermostatically controlled vents and rain sensors, ensure a stable ambient temperature all year round. Finished in Hampton Conservatories’ Leinster Green to fit in with the garden’s theme, the interlocking circular layout and curved roof fits perfectly with the architecture of this distinctive mansion and its terraced grounds.
This award-winning pool enclosure was designed and manufactured by Hamptons, with curved glass to replicate the detail of two mid-19th century glasshouses on the property.
Tucked away near the beautiful Connemara town of Letterfrack, just fifteen kilometres from the buzzing town of Clifden, the Manor has been discreetly converted into a first-class hotel with the help of a Victorian style Hampton conservatory.
