Conservatories in Scotland
Scotland Conservatories
With over 40 years of experience in designing and building bespoke glazed extensions, we have a wealth of experience manufacturing orangeries and conservatories for Scottish properties.
Our designers understand the unique demands of Scottish builds (and the Scottish climate!) and are ready to turn your dream glazed extension into a reality. Taking into account the individual requirements of the project and maintaining a strong link to local architecture and heritage, each Scotland conservatory is a unique space, designed to suit your needs and lifestyle.

Is a conservatory the right choice for Scottish properties?
We understand that Scotland is renowned for its harsh winters, with the temperature often dropping below freezing and strong winds and rain common. This doesn’t make properties here any less suited to a conservatory or orangery.
A glazed extension bridges the gap between the indoors and the out, helping to extend the summer season further by creating the feeling of being closer to nature, without leaving the home. Our bespoke conservatories are never too hot or too cold, as modern technologies, such as underfloor heating and thermally optimised glazing, make it easier to maintain a comfortable temperature all year round. You can also opt for a tiled roof conservatory to gain additional protection against the elements, which may be desirable in areas of particularly high elevation, or those that are north-facing or particularly exposed.
Scotland conservatories: design considerations
Every project is bespoke, and our design process reflects that. Whether you want an extension that stands out from your existing property, or one that is perfectly sympathetic with the existing stone and masonry, we can bring these ideas to life.
Scotland has some of the most intricate architecture in the UK, and it’s not uncommon for our clients to want to mirror the heritage design of their property in their new glazed extension. Whether you’re based in Edinburgh or Inverness, Glasgow or Dundee, we work with local suppliers to source local stone and other materials, ensuring your design has integrity and honours the architecture of your property and its setting.
The process of a Scotland conservatory with Hampton
After being inspired by the outstanding designs showcased in our brochure and making the decision to pursue a Hampton project, we will visit your home to discuss your unique requirements and preferences, and our experts will guide you through our design options. We’ll discuss orientation, style, and detail, taking into account what you wish to use the new space for with appropriate consideration of the scale of the project in relation to your property.
We will then produce a conceptual drawing, providing you with a full presentation and detailed quotation. You’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions and make adjustments to the design, working closely with our experts. Further drawings are undertaken and this process is repeated until you are fully satisfied with the proposed new structure.
Conservatories in Scotland with a truly bespoke design service
No project is too big or too small, too simplistic or too complicated. Our experts have years of combined experience designing bespoke conservatories in Scotland, with the ability to meet stringent structural requirements, complicated design details, and detailed personal preferences.
We’re even well-versed in designing orangeries and conservatories for listed properties. Our team can guide you through the planning permission process, and help to tweak your design in order to meet guidelines set by your local authority.
Our home is Portush, County Antrim in Northern Ireland, so we’re just a hop, skip and a jump to the Scottish mainland. This means we can get to you easily but if you’d like to come and see us at work, we’d be happy to arrange a factory visit so you can see the quality craftsmanship for yourself.
